Our Journey
EDTC evolved from the Centre of Excellence for Products Based on Li-ion Cells project, which began in December 2020 with the vision of creating a design and testing ecosystem for India's rapidly growing electronics sector.
This was a joint collaboration between the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of Uttar Pradesh, Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) Noida, and India Cellular & Electronics Association (ICEA).

After successfully establishing critical infrastructure and capabilities, the facility transitioned to ICEA's operational management in August 2025, marking a new chapter as a commercially sustainable, industry-led facility.
